All government websites resume

KATHMANDU: All the websites of Nepal government have resumed from today. The websites had gone down due to  some technical glitches at the server of the National Information Technology Center (NITC), since yesterday.

According to Naya Patrika daily, Chinese hackers  attacked 2,000 websites of the Nepal government. Most of the government websites did not open, hitting hard the service seekers lining up at the Department of Foreign Employment, Department of Passport, Inland Revenue Offices.

Over 2,000 government websites went down after the Chinese hackers attacked them simultaneously,  according to the (NITC).

Deputy Director General at the NITC Ramesh Prasad Pokharel said Chinese hackers had been trying to hit the websites of the Nepal government for the last four days.
