Nepal crashes out of Olympic 2020 Qualifiers

KATHMANDU: Nepal has been out from the Olympic 2020 round 2 qualifiers after facing a 3-1 defeat against its archrival India on Saturday.

With the loss, Nepal’s hope to qualify for the next round vanished.

Earlier, Nepal faced a 3-1 defeat against Myanmar on April 3.

Now, the team will face Indonesia on April 9 seeking a consolation win.

Nepal had been pitched in the group along with Myanmar, India and Indonesia. Two teams from the group will proceed to 3rd round of the qualifiers.
