Budget not discriminatory, says Finance Minister Khatiwada

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada on Friday clarified that the recently unveiled budget for the fiscal year 2019/20 has not discriminated against anyone.

“The budget is socialism-oriented. It has not discriminated against any particular area, sector and state,” he said responding to queries raised during a discussion on the Appropriation Bill in the National Assembly’s meeting.

He also called for all to come together to make the country prosperous instead of blaming each other.
