Second birds’ festival begins in Pokhara

POKHARA: The second birds’ festival is underway in Pokhara, the capital of Gandaki State.

The festival organized by the Pokhara Bird Society aims to contribute to the conservation of birds and promotion of avian tourism also known as avitourism.

An art competition, training for bird guides, and interactions with bodies concerned in regard with challenges in the conservation of birds and possible ways of overcoming them are the parts of the festival, according to society secretary Hemant Dhakal.
