Two die as truck plunges into Trishuli

CHITWAN: Two people have died in a truck accident in the district on Friday morning. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

The accident took place when a truck, Na 7 Kha 6765, heading to Kathmandu from Mugling veered off the road and plunged into the Trishuli River at Ichchhakamana-3, Chumlingtar along the Prithvi Highway at 5:45 am today.

Another person sustained injuries in the accident. The injured has been sent to Bharatpur for treatment, said Area Police Office, Mugling. Preparations are underway to retrieve the bodies, said police.
