NCP secretariat meeting at 12 pm today

KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is holding its secretariat meeting on Wednesday. The meeting has been called for 12 pm today after it did not strike a deal on Tuesday.

The meeting held yesterday between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal ended inclusively after they failed to strike a deal on the duties and responsibilities of central committee members.

“Today’s secretariat meeting will finalize the issues related to division of responsibilities of central committee members,” said Narayankaji Shrestha, spokesperson of the NCP.

Leaders are divided over whether CC members should be appointed as the district in-charge.
