NCP leader held on ‘rape charges’ in Ramechhap



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a local leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on the alleged charge of rape  in Ramechhap district.

The arrested has been identified as Sangeet Sunuwar of Kubhukasthali in Umakunda Rural Municipality.

Sunuwar was held on the charge of raping a 13-year-old girl, said Santosh Kumar Bhattarai, chief of District Police Office, Ramechhap.
