Tata Nexon tops the list as the ‘safest car’

KATHMANDU: Tata Nexon has placed itself on the number one position in the list of the safest car in India this year.

A car to get the 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP, Nexon has trailed behind Brezza and Venue in terms of sales.

However, Nexon has beaten its competitors in safety, according to a rushlane.com report.

The Global NCAP has, in the last 5 years, tested 25 different cars – some multiple times.

According to the crash tests conducted between 2014-2019, several of the bestselling cars have received low scores, which indicates serious defects in the priorities of car manufacturers.

Cars such as Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza also scored high both in safety and sales.

Meanwhile, Mahindra Marazzo has become the only MPV in the list to get a 4-star safety rating from the Global NCAP.

MPVs need to have high-level safety as these cars are mostly used for long-distance journeys and travel at high speeds.

It should be noted that Marazzo was ranked at the 6th place as the bestselling MPVs in September.

Marazzo trailed behind its competitors such as Renault Triber, Ertiga, and Nexa XL6.
