HETAUDA: A woman was killed in an accident near China Gate at Hetauda sub-metropolis-1 on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as pillion rider Sita Neupane, 35, of Hetauda-1, according to the District Police Office Makawanpur.
She died on the spot when an oil tanker bearing registration plate Na 8 Kha 3872 heading toward Hetauda Bazaar hit the motorbike — Na 56 Pa 4935 — en route to the same direction.
Her husband Shashi Neupane has sustained an injury.
The driver of the tanker Mukesh BK, 24, of Bhimphedi rural municipality-1 has been arrested. Police said a further investigation into the incident is on.
