Around 22 percent progress in Arun III

KATHMANDU: The Sankhuwasabha-based Arun III Hydropower Project has reported around 22 percent progress in physical construction.

The 900-megawatt project being developed by the Satlaj Jal Vidyut Nigam is owned by the Indian government.

The project’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arun Dhiman on Sunday apprised Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barshaman Pun of the progress made in the Arun III project.

On the occasion, Minister Pun hoped that the project would be completed within the stipulated time saying that the government had created an investment-friendly atmosphere.

Minister Pun also pledged required facilitation to take the project ahead in a smooth manner.

Meanwhile, CEO Dhiman said the project would be completed within the timeframe. According to him, twenty-two percent progress had been achieved so far.
