Govt to make tax system more effective: Finance Minister



LALITPUR: Minister for Finance, Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada on Sunday said that the government has been involved in intensifying the pace of development on the basis of social security to the people by collecting tax through healthy tax administration.

Speaking at a program, Minister Khatiwada said the government was endeavoring for improvements to make the tax system more effective and systematic.

He urged the business community to not panic from the improvements in the tax system while asking them to make their business activities transparent and competitive.

Minister Khatiwada added that the government has created a situation to bring the citizens under the purview of tax. He said people must pay tax, therefore, he added that the PAN (Permanent Account Number) has been sought.
