PM Oli off to Singapore on medial trip



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli left for Singapore on Saturday night for his routine health check-up.

Responding to journalists’ queries at VVIP lounge of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), PM briefly responded that he was heading to Singapore for his health check-up.

PM Oli is accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, Chief Political Advisor Bishnu Rimal, and private doctor Dibya Singh Shah, among others, shared PM’s Press Coordinator Chetan Adhikari.

The PM was seen off by National Assembly Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Iswar Pokharel, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali and NCP general secretary Bishnu Poudel, among others at TIA.

The PM will have his health checked at the National University Hospital, Singapore. PM Oli, who had undergone kidney transplant 12 years back, is on regular follow-up. Earlier, he had a follow-up in Thailand.

PM’s check-up begins from tomorrow, and he is to stay at the hospital for a week. He is scheduled to return home next Friday.
