India’s Economic Survey expects GDP to grow at 7 pc



NEW DELHI: The Economic Survey 2019, which was tabled in the parliament expects the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) to increase at seven percent for the financial year 2019-20, Indian media reports have said.

The Economic Survey has put the fiscal deficit at 5.8 percent for the fiscal year 2018-19 which is against 6.4 percent in the fiscal year 2017-18.

Reports said that the GDP growth rate has remained below the mark for some time. (Agencies)
