RASUWA: Three members of a family died when a TATA Sumo, Ba 10 Cha 5820, met with an accident on the Mailung-Syafrubesi road road section in Kalika Rural Municipality-1, Gumchet, on Monday night.

The deceased have been identified as Mendo Ghale, 34, Sainli Ghale, 32, and Norbu Tamang, 29, of Amachhodingbo Rural Municipality-4, Goljung, said DSP Bhogendra Dhakal, chief of District Police Office, Rasuwa.

The injured in the incident are Munjung Tamang, 29, her four-year-old son Wangel Tamang, three-year-old boy Nima Chhewang, Deurani Tamang, 34, and driver Nimakami Tamang, 30. Their condition is said to be critical. They have been referred to Kathmandu after their treatment was not possible at District Hospital Trishuli.

According to police, the accident took place at 6 pm yesterday when they were returning home after visiting their child at monastery in Pokhara, said police.

Over-speed and the rough road are attributed to the accident.
