SAG 2019: Nepal limits to silver medal in women’s volleyball

KATHMANDU: Nepal satisfied itself with the silver medal after being defeated with India in the South Asian Games (SAG) Women’s Volleyball held in Kathmandu today.

Despite losing its first set to India by 25-18, Nepali players bounced back to win the second and third set by 25-23 and 25-21. But unfortunately, the Nepali women team could not make it in the fourth and fifth sets with India with 25-20 and 15-6.

Earlier, the Nepali women team had won three silver in 1999, 2006 and 2016, respectively. However, this is the first time that the Nepali women volleyball team won silver in SAG.
