14 die in Baglung jeep accident



BAGLUNG: At least 14 people have died when a jeep fell some 350 meters down the road near Badigad village of Baglung on Tuesday morning.

The ill-fated jeep — Ga 1 Ja 5219 — was heading towards Baglung from Gulmi when it met with an accident, said Nawaraj Bhatta, chief of the district police office.

Among the dead are nine women, four men and a child, according to police. The victims were traveling on the ill-fated jeep to worship their clan deities.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, a chopper of the Nepal Army is being sent for the rescue of the injured.
