Mercury dips in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: The severity of cold has increased in Kathmandu especially in the mornings and evenings for the past few days with the temperature continuing to dip further.

Meteorological Forecasting Division has said the minimum temperature has hovered around 6 degrees Celsius increasing the discomfort among the Kathmanduites.

The maximum temperature of Kathmandu has remained 17 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The Division has forecast partly to generally cloudy in the eastern region and central hilly regions and mainly fair in the rest of the country.

It has also forecast isolated brief rain at one or two places in the eastern hilly region.
