KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has criticized the Nepal Communist Party-led government for demonstrating exploitative attitude by relieving the governors without any reason.

Even though the government has the prerogative to remove the governors, leader Koirala said that the time was inappropriate at a time when the by-election code of conduct was in place.

“This has seriously drawn our attention,” Koirala said adding that the government’s decision has shut the doors for working alliance.

This, he claimed, has violated the principle of ‘check and balance’ alleging the government for trying to impose authoritarianism in the country.
