Delhi air quality deteriorates



NEW DELHI: Air quality in New Delhi deteriorated further on Sunday.

It has remained in the ‘severe’ category with the pollution level hovering at 447, Indian media reports have said.

The air quality in the Indian capital and the surrounding areas has been categorized in the ‘severe’ category despite the wind activity on Saturday evening.

On Sunday morning, Delhi residents woke up to mild showers.

The pollution measuring stations in Delhi showed a severe pollution level.

The Indian capital recorded its worst air quality forcing the closure of schools, declare a public health emergency, and ban of all construction activities. (Agencies)
