Nepal to be enlisted in developing countries’ league soon: Minister Baskota



BANEPA: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Baskota on Thursday claimed Nepal would be enlisted as a developing country in the next three years.

Speaking at a program in Banepa today, Minister Baskota said Nepal would surely be enlisted in the league of developing countries within the said timeframe by expediting development works.

He said that since poverty has become a challenge in Nepal, the government would introduce and implement programs of skill development, employment opportunities, technical education as well as making service sector effective to gradually reducing poverty.

The government, he said, would reduce the 18 percent poverty to boost the concept of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’.

Minister Baskota also claimed that the government was committed to making Nepal happy, autonomous and self-reliant.

He asserted that the government was working in a steadfast manner for the uplift of the economically vulnerable people and to raise their economic status.
