Govt determined to protect public land: DPM Pokhrel

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokhrel has expressed government’s unswerving commitment to protect the public land.

“All sides irrespective of ruling and opposition parties should work in unison to preserve the encroached public land”, he said while inaugurating the Lakhepokhari Democratic Park at Kathmandu Metropolis-6, Bouddha Ramnagar on Saturday.

He urged all sides to unite for preserving the public properties and bringing to book those opting to intrude public land.

It should be the first and foremost priority of the local governments to protect the public land, he noted.
