JAJARKOT: Members of the Biplav group, an outfit banned by the government for its destructive activities, are being released from jail after pledging to stay away from the group.
Accordingly, Dolpa in-charge of the group, Bir Bahadur Khadka was released after two weeks in jail. He made a written commitment to abandon the banned outfit. Likewise, Chedagad in-charge Kailas Pun, Bheri bureau member Hari Chandra Jaisi were also released after they pledged to adhere to the constitution and shun destructive activities.
Central member of ANNFSU Prem Shahi was arrested in Kathmandu and brought here. Two more cadres of the group are under police arrest, and are working out a deal with the local administration to be released.
Meanwhile, the district police Chief Shyam Khatri said that the police are keeping a close tab on the former Biplav cadres after they are released from jail.
