DHAKA: At least six people have died when a fire tore through a textile factory in Bangladesh today, local media reports have said.

Fire brigades took at least 12 hours to control the blaze at a factory in Sreepur, near Dhaka, the country’s capital.

The fire spread quickly as water supplies to the fire hydrant ran out, reports said. Six bodies were recovered. (Agencies)
