LONDON: US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump on Monday met with the Queen of England on the first day of their state visit to the UK.

Trump and Melania, who arrived on Air Force One earlier on Monday, are at Buckingham Palace for a lunch and welcome ceremony, media reports have said.

Meanwhile, Trump and outgoing Prime Minister of UK Theresa May will meet on Tuesday, with the duo expected to discuss Chinese technology firm Huawei and climate change. (Agencies)
