Speed limit set for Kalanki-Koteshwor road

KATHMANDU: Following a surge in accidents, Traffic Police has set a speed limit for Kalanki-Koteshwor road section of Ring Road.

Issuing a notice on Monday, the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) said that speed limit of 50 km/hr has been set for the main lane and a limit of 20 km/hr for the service lane. The speed limit has come into effect from today, according to MTPD.

Those breaching the speed limit will face action as per Clause 164 (6) of the Transport Management Act 2049.
