KAWASOTI: A girl from Binayi Triveni of Nawalparasi district was killed on Sunday evening after she was crushed by house roof blown by the storm.
Anjali Yadav, 10, daughter of Lalan Yadav from Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-7 became victim in the storm, said Sub Inspector of Police, Krishna Saha. The zinc sheet roof crushed her to death on the spot. Some other people were also injured by the zinc sheet blown away by the storm.
As many as 80 houses from Ward No 6 and 7 of the rural municipality were damaged in windstorm. Even a temporary police post set up for CCTV monitoring at Triveni barrage on Nepal-India boarder received damage, added the police.
