PM Modi biopic to release on May 24

MUMBAI: The much-awaited biopic on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be released countrywide on May 24, Indian media reported.

The makers of the film on Friday announced that it will be released on May 24, a day after the Lok Sabha elections results are declared.

The Vivek Oberoi-starrer film, titled PM Narendra Modi, was previously set to release on April 11. However, the film was banned by India’s Election Commission saying that the film would affect the polls.

Produced by Sandip Singh and directed by Omung Kumar, the biopic features Manoj Joshi, Boman Irani, Zarina Wahab, Prashant Narayanan, Darshan Kumaar, and Barkha Sengupta, among others. (Agencies)
