KATHMANDU: A secretariat meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is taking place at Baluwatar on Saturday.

The meeting is expected to finalize candidates for by-elections to be held on November 30, said Baluwatar sources.

NCP has set a standard, according to which, the candidates for the House of Representatives, provinces and sub-metropolitan cities will be chosen by the central committee, while that of rural municipalities will be decided by the provincial committee.

Similarly, in case of ward chairs, the district level committee of the concerned district will take a decision.
