Banke Police open fire to arrest man convicted of theft



KOHALPUR: Banke Police opened fire on Monday to arrest a convict on the run in a theft case.

A police team deployed from the Kohalpur-based Area Police Office fired at Narenandra Neupane to arrest him. Neupane has sustained injuries in the police action and is undergoing treatment at Medical College, Kohalpur.

Banke District Court had sentenced Neupane six years in jail for the theft at a vehicle of the United Nations in the district.
