Nepal to hold by-elections on December 30

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission of Nepal (ECN) on Friday fixed December 30 for by-elections.

The date for the by-election was announced following consultations with political parties and the government.

According to ECN, by-elections will be held for some 50 vacant posts of people’s representatives lying vacant in the House of Representatives, Provincial Assembly and local units.
