21 children infected with HIV in Rautahat

KATHMANDU: Over 301 including 21 children have been found infected with HIV in Rautahat district.

According to ART Officer Shesha Sarraf, a total of 301 people including 150 men, 125 women, 21 children and five people are third genders have been infected with HIV.

Of the total 1,085 people undergoing HIV test, 20 men tested for positive for HIV in the last fiscal year. Of the total 1, 132 women on whom HIV test was conducted, no one tested positive for HIV, said Rautahat District Hospital.
