NPC wins State 2 in PM Cup One-Day Men’s Cricket Tournament

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police Club (NPC) on Sunday entered the semifinals of the Prime Minister Cup One-Day National Men’s Cricket Tournament.

The NPC defeated State 2 by 156 runs in today’s match played at the Tribhuvan University Cricket International Ground, Kirtipur.

State 2, meanwhile, has been eliminated. Elected into bat first winning the toss, NPC made 253 runs in allotted 50 overs. It lost nine wickets.

State 2 limited to 97 runs in 29 overs at the loss of all wickets in the chase of 254 runs target.

Harishankar Sah of State 2 hit highest 29 runs. Likewise, captain Mehabub Alam made 21 runs while Rabi Sah hit 15 and Suraj Patel 12 runs.
