DARCHULA: Darchula district has been without electricity for the last days since electricity supply in the district has been disrupted after being linked to the national transmission line.

An 11 KV transmission line was connected from the Chameliya hydropower to the national grid two weeks ago. Earlier, 800 KW electricity, which was imported from India, was curtailed after connecting to the national grid.

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has said employees have been sent to the area for repair.
