NCP Chairman Dahal asks Biplab to join mainstream politics



KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairperson, Pushpa Kamal Dahal has asked the Biplab-led faction to join the mainstream politics.

Welcoming Padam Rai, the politburo member of Biplab-led group at party office Dhumrabarahi today, Dahal urged all communist splinter groups to join the NCP.

Dahal said that the course Biplab has taken will not take him anywhere adding that the group would have no alternative than to join mainstream politics.

He said his party would be ready to discuss the issues raised by the Biplav-led faction as well as reviewing all past events. “It is high time that we gave a message of the socialist movement to the world,” he said.

Rai, who was elected as Constituent Assembly (CA) member from Bhojpur constituency no 1 in first CA election in 2008, has also served as a State Minister for Physical Infrastructures and Transport.
