Nepal taking on Malaysia in int’l friendly today

KATHMANDU: Nepal National Football Team is taking on Malaysia in an international friendly match at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. The official kick-off time has been fixed for 7:45 NST.

Nepal is taking on the host after a long hiatus of 11 years with the teams playing against each other for the last time in 2008.

Nepal has played six matches against Malaysia and has faced defeats in five and managed a draw. At the pre-match conference, Nepal Head Coach Johan Kalin was optimistic of Nepal posing as a hurdle for Malaysia.

Nepali team is in Malaysia to play two friendly matches as a preparation in the run-up to FIFA World Cup 2020 Qualifiers.

Nepal will take on Chinese Taipei on Thursday.
