Koirala stresses on ending factionalism within the party



PARASI: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Shekhar Koirala has said urged the party leadership to hold the general convention on time.

Stating that ‘groupism’ within the party has to end at any cost, Koirala emphasized that unity was inevitable. He said that the party will lag behind if intra-party unity is not realized at the earliest.

Speaking at a program at Bhumahi of Parasi, Koirala also criticized the government for trying to intervene press freedom and judiciary.

Likewise, Amresh Kumar Singh, NC leader, expressed doubts over holding the general convention on time saying that some party leaders were engaged in postponing the same.

Singh maintained that the general convention should be held within the stipulated time.
