KATHMANDU: The vacancy announced by the Public Service Commission (PSC) for over 9,000 posts for the local units has drawn flak in State 2.

Political parties in State 2 have protested the announcement saying that it failed to acknowledge the rights of inclusive and proportional representation, Naya Patrika Daily reported.

The report states that the State government, State 2 committee of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Rastriya Janata Party Nepal and Samajwadi Party Nepal are against the vacancy announcement.

They have argued that the announcement disrespected the constitutional rights of woman, Dalit, Madhesi, Tharu, Janajati and Muslim people to enter public service.
