Book those involved in land scams: Lawmakers to govt.



KATHMANDU: Lawmakers attending the Thursday’s meeting of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee of the National Assembly demanded that the government clears up the issue of public land encroachments.

Anyone involved in the illegal act, irrespective of political leaders or those in power should not be spared from the action, they demanded.

Putting her view in the meeting, Sarita Prasain reported that many public in Lalitpur and Kathmandu districts have suffered encroachment.
