India to seek downgrading of Pakistan on terrorism financing list

NEW DELHI: India’s finance minister has said the government will request the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to downgrade Pakistan on terrorism financing list, media reports said.

The Paris-based FATF is a global body formed to counter terrorism financing and money laundering.

Jaitley said there is a meeting of FATF in mid-May, and that India would want that the FATF for Pakistan be downgraded. (Agencies)
