PM Oli undergoes dialysis for the eighth time



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli underwent dialysis for the eighth time at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center on Sunday.

The prime minister is undergoing treatment at the center after operation for appendicitis.

The prime minister has been undergoing regular dialysis at the hospital after the kidney that was transplanted some 12 years ago stopped functioning. He underwent dialysis today as well, according to sources.

“His kidney has stopped functioning so regular dialysis is being performed. The prime minister underwent dialysis this evening,” the source said.

Press Advisor to PM Oli, Surya Thapa said that the prime minister watched the inauguration ceremony of the South Asian Games on an iPad at the Intensive Care Unit this evening.

According to hospital sources, the prime minister can eat and brush his teeth on his own and can walk with support.
