KATHMANDU: Coordinator of Sajha Party Rabindra Mishra has remarked that the results of the by-elections have endorsed corrupt nature of the political parties in Nepal.
Mishra took to Twitter after the results of Kaski-2 were made public terming the results of the by-polls as worrisome.
“The by-elections have sent out a message that Sajha Party needs lot more things to do,” he said, “The results have sanctioned wide corrupt nature, incompetence, scams, brain drain… which is worrisome.”
Sajha Party’s candidate Rajani KC was in the election fray from Kaski-2. She managed to get only 942 votes.
Bidya Bhattarai from the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), was elected in the constituency.
Bhattarai got 24,394 votes. Her closest rival of Nepali Congress contender Khem Raj Paudel got 15,991 votes.
