NCP’s rebel candidate wins in Pyuthan



PYUTHAN: Dorna Prasad Pandey of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has been elected ward chairman in Airawati-1 of the district.

Pandey got 696 votes as his closet rival Amar Regmi Magar of Nepali Congress got 687 votes.

On the other hand, a rebel candidate of NCP Bhimesh Kumar Gharti Magar was been elected ward chairman in Airawati-2. He had filed candidacy as an independent candidate after the party forged an electoral alliance with Janamorcha.

Gharti Magar got 855 votes as Bhakta Bahadur BK of Janamorcha received 504 votes. Bhupal GC of Nepali Congress garnered 356 votes.
