RPP candidate receives one vote in Khotang



KHOTANG: Candidate of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Indra Bahadur Khadka received only one vote in the by-elections held to elect ward chairman for Sakela Rural Municipality -3.

In the by-elections, Nepal Communist Party candidate Shibakala Rai won receiving 391 votes. Her closest contestant of Nepali Congress Sukra Bahadur Tamang got 374 votes.

Likewise, Ramesh Rai of the Samajwadi Party got 15 votes.

A total of 796 votes were cast in the ward with 15 votes annulled, according to Election Commission.
