KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) candidate Bidya Bhattarai is taking the lead in the Kaski constituency-2 by-election.

According to the latest vote count, Bhattarai is taking the lead with 8,265 votes.

Her competitor Khem Raj Poudel of Nepali Congress (NC) has garnered 3,671 votes so far.
