Postmortem over; families receive bodies



KATHMANDU: The postmortem on seven mortal remains including that of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari has been over. It had started at the Department of Forensic Medicine at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj at 2 pm yesterday.

It took around 11 hours to carry out the postmortem, Rijen Shrestha, chief of the department, told Khabarhub.

According to him, the bodies will be handed over to their respective families at 7 am today.

“We started conducting postmortem at 2 pm on Thursday. It was over at 1 am today,” Dr Shrestha told Khabarhub, adding, “The hospital will hand over the bodies to their respective families at 7 am. The police, then, will take them to Tundikhel for condolence.”
