Bomb scare at Delhi airport over unclaimed bag



NEW DELHI: A suspicious bag containing explosive material was found in the early hours of Friday at Indian capital’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.

According to the latest reports, the Delhi Police and other security agencies believed that the explosive material was RDX which was brought to the airport by someone with nefarious designs.

Following the incident, security was beefed up in and around the airport.

A Delhi Police source said the bag containing the RDX was found at the arrival section of Terminal-3 of the airport. This terminal mainly caters to the passengers taking international flights.

Further investigation was underway to find out who brought the bag to the place from where it was recovered.
