Zimbabwe beats Nepal by 40 runs in T20



KATHMANDU: Zimbabwe defeated Nepal by 40 runs in Singapore T20 Series in Singapore on Tuesday evening.

Chasing down the 161-run target set by Zimbabwe, Nepal managed to get 120 runs on the board losing nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Binod Bhandari (33) was a top scorer for Nepal. Aarif Sheikh and Karan KC made 25 and 18 runs respectively.

Sean Williams grabbed three wickets in his kitty as Tinotenda Mutombodzi sent to Nepali batsmen back to the pavilion.

Put to bat first after losing the toss, Zimbabwe posted 160 runs on the board losing six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sean Williams top-scored for his team at 53 runs as Ryan Burl made 21 runs.

For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane and Sompal Kami grabbed two wickets each. Abinash Bohara and skipper Paras Khadka took one wicket each.
