U-23 team begins closed camp practice for South Asian Games

KATHMANDU: The U-23 national football team has started closed camp practice from Thursday for the 13th edition of the South Asian Games (SAG) to be organized in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Head Coach Bal Gopal Maharjan said that the closed session started from today at the ground of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). He added that regular practice will start from Sunday.

ANFA has called 45 players for the closed camp. Maharjan said that some players will practice with the senior team as the senior team is also preparing for the Asian Cup Qualifiers.

The national youth team had clinched the title of 12th edition of the games. The competition will be organized from December 1-11.
