16 gamblers held from Bhaktapur, Lalitpur

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 16 gamblers from various places of Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts.

Acting on a tip-off, police held seven gamblers including Suman Giri of Kavre from the house of Ram Sundar Gwayan  based in Bramhayani of Bhaktapur Municipality-9.

Police seized Rs 32, 280 in cash and a pack of playing cards.

Likewise, police arrested nine people while being engaged in playing cards in the house of 47-year-old Radhe Shyam in Godawari Municipality-12.

Police seized three packs of playing cards along with Rs 32, 000 in cash during the raid.
