20 new Sajha buses come into operation

KATHMANDU:  Some 20 new buses of Sajha Yatayat, a cooperative public transport organization, have come into operation from Monday.

A formal program was organized by Kathmandu and Lalitpur Metropolitan City Offices and Sajha Yatayat today to inaugurate the service.

With the addition of 20 new buses, Sajha Yatayat has now 71 buses under its fleet. All the new buses are of Euro-4 emission standard. The buses with 40 seats have internet and television installed for entertainment and CCTV cameras for security.

The news buses have service of smart travel cards that allow passengers to pay the fare through cards. Sajha Yatayat had commenced the service some two months ago.

The new buses will ply along Lagankhel-Buspark, Lagankhel-Budhanilkantha, Ratnapark-Godavari, Lagankhel-Satdobato-Thankot, New Buspark-Suryabinayak, New Buspark-Kamalbinayak- New Buspark-Lagankhel-Airport and Lagankhel-Sahidgate-Dakshinkali routes.
